Not every puncture needs a new tyre. Where the damage sits in the tread area and falls inside the repairable limits, a proper repair keeps a good tyre in service and costs less than replacing it.

How a repair works
02 / Assess
Check it can be repaired
Repairs are only safe within the central tread area, away from the shoulder and sidewall, and only where the tyre has not been run flat and damaged internally.
03 / Repair
Sealed from the inside
A combined plug and patch seals the injury from within the tyre. The wheel is then refitted, balanced and inflated back to the correct pressure.

When a repair is the answer
A nail or a screw in the tread. The most common repairable puncture there is. Leave the object in place until we look at it — pulling it out lets the rest of the air go.
A tyre that keeps going soft. Losing pressure over days rather than minutes usually means a small penetration, a corroded rim or a failing valve.
A pressure warning that keeps coming back. If the light returns after you have inflated the tyre, something is still letting air out.
One tyre visibly lower than the rest. Worth checking before it flattens completely and the tyre is damaged beyond repair.

Driving on a flat turns a repair into a replacement. A badly under-inflated tyre flexes and overheats, which wrecks the internal structure even if the puncture itself was small.
We will tell you if it cannot be repaired. If the damage is outside the safe limits we will say so and fit a replacement instead. We will not patch something that should not be patched.
Run-flats and some performance tyres have their own rules. Several manufacturers do not permit repairs to their run-flat tyres at all. We will check what applies to yours.
