Your
details.

What we do with the details you give us, and what this website does and does not store on your device. It is short because we collect very little.

What we collect

Only what you choose to give us:

  • Quote requests. When you send the quote form we receive your name, your phone number, the location or postcode you enter and, if you pick one, the service you need.
  • Calls and messages. When you phone us or message us on WhatsApp we see your number and whatever you tell us about the vehicle, where it is and what has happened.
  • Technical information. Like any website, the servers that run this one may record basic details of each request, such as your IP address, the page asked for and the time, so the site can be run securely and misuse can be blocked.
  • How you use the site, only if you agree. With your consent, Google Analytics records things like the pages you visit, roughly where you are, your device and browser.

How we use it, and why

  • To reply to your request, give you a price and arrange the work. You have asked us to do this, and that is our lawful basis for it.
  • To keep a record of the jobs we have quoted for and carried out. We have a legitimate interest in doing so, and some records are needed for tax and accounting.
  • To keep the website secure and stop the quote form being misused, which is in our legitimate interests and yours.
  • To see how the site is used, using Google Analytics. We only do this if you agree, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.

We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for marketing.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of service providers to run the website. They handle your information only on our instructions:

  • Replit, which hosts this website and the database where quote requests are stored.
  • Formspark, which sends us an email alert when a quote request arrives.
  • Google, which provides Google Analytics, if you accept those cookies.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where your information leaves the UK, it is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

Other services on this site

  • Customer reviews are shown from our Google Business Profile, fetched through a service called Featurable. Reviewers' surnames are shortened to an initial here. To change or remove a review, do so on Google.
  • The tyre brand logos are loaded from Brandfetch's image service, so your browser connects to it to fetch them and it receives your IP address and browser details, as any website would.
  • Links to WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies. Nothing from them is embedded in this site.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie, cc_cookie, to remember your cookie choices. It lasts six months.

With your permission we also use Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*, two years) to see how the site is used. None of them is set, and nothing is sent to Google, until you choose to accept. The site works the same either way.

You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the foot of every page. Withdrawing consent deletes these cookies.

Each time you make or change a choice, we keep a record of it on our own server: the random ID from cc_cookie, what you accepted or refused, which version of the banner you saw, and when. It holds no name, IP address or contact details. The law requires us to be able to show that consent was given, which is our lawful basis for keeping it.

The separate, staff-only admin area uses cookies that are strictly necessary to keep staff signed in. Visitors to the public site never receive them.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and after that only for as long as we need records of the jobs we have done. Then we delete them.

Records of cookie choices are deleted automatically after two years.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it. You can also object to us using it where we rely on our legitimate interests. Contact us using the details below and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page if what we collect, or how we use it, changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
